Ahavat Yisrael of Wesley Hills
New Building Campaign

MESSAGE FROM THE RABBI MESSAGE FROM THE BUILDING COMMITTEE
There are some Mitzvos that each Jew is responsible for as an individual, and there are others that can only be done as part of a community. The Sefer HaChinuch labels the building of the Mishkan as one of the Mitzvos that must be done by the community, with each of its members participating.

And while we do not yet have the opportunity to build the Beis HaMikdash in Yerushalayim, the Mitzvah of V'asu Li Mikdash (And you shall build me a Sanctuary) is a Mitzvah for all time. Part of what motivated Dovid HaMelech to build was the fact that he lived in a far nicer house than the House of G-d, as well as the many Mitzvos that just could not be done in such limited quarters. Just as the purpose behind the Mitzvah has not changed, so too the factors that motivate us have not changed.

True, Torah and a vital congregation are not dependant on a structure, but there is just so much more that we could do and should do and so much more we can offer the community with the proper facilities.

It is in this spirit that we turn to our friends and invite them and encourage them to participate in this sacred task of building our Mishkan.

This is truly a pivotal and historic moment for Ahavat Yisrael of Wesley Hills and our community. As we embark on the creation of our new building, a truly remarkable edifice, the buzz of individual and communal participation and involvement is palpable.

Our ability to reach the goal for this unique establishment has been attainable only through the generosity of numerous members and friends. The response to our fundraising efforts has been extremely gratifying and we are grateful to all those individuals and families that have nobly contributed. Your vision and support have made the dream of a new Ahavat Yisrael of Wesley Hills a reality. We are reaching out to those who have not yet chosen to participate to consider joining us by selecting one of the dedications.

Please remember that every donation facilitates our shul’s continued growth and builds a foundation of stone for the future of our kehilla and our community.
